Smoke & Mirrors is a genre-blending, sci-fi-fantasy-rock-opera following the adventures of Horatio Lustihood as he searches the multiverse to rescue his magician father after a rival illusionist comes calling.

R. Taylor Etherton (music/lyrics) is a Dallas-based composer, who has headed up such bands as Auntie Risser & The Colonel, The Winnebago Forcefield, Mindfull, and Oliphant. Taylor’s work was heard at Theatre Crude 2023, composing the soundscapes for My Mind is a Smile.... Emily Etherton (book/staging) is a prolific actor and director in the OKC theatre scene. Emily performed in the last three Theatre Crude Fringe Festivals in My Mind is a Smile..., A Portion for Foxes, and Zona, and directed Meaningless.
