Head V Heart
by Rob Sturma
20-year national slam poetry vet Rob Sturma (Extreme Championship Poetry, Wordomania, Red Dirt Poetry) chronicles how pop culture and pop music kept him afloat and helped him find sobriety in a series of andecotes and poems that rip the fourth wall down and then fix it with more cowbell!
Rob Sturma is a poet who has published two full-length poetry collections; the latest, HEAD V HEART (Moon Tide Press) is where this performance stems from. He also has edited successful pop culture anthologies AIM FOR THE HEAD and MULTIVERSE (both by Write Bloody Publishing) and is the founder and editor-in-chief of pop culture poetry journal FREEZERAY POETRY, an online quarterly. He's hosted open mics and events from Los Angeles to Oklahoma City, most notably the traveling showcase EXTREME CHAMPIONSHIP POETRY and has been involved locally with the Red Dirt Poetry community. He is excited to get back to the theatrical stage, although playing Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors after college is still his bucket list performance.
